  SERVICE YEAR

  •  How much will I be paid as my Corps allowance?

  You will be paid a monthly Basic Allowance of N8,500. While in the Camp, you will be paid your Transport and Bicycle Allowances. Your entitlements are written behind your Call- up letter.

  •  What happens if I get sick during the service year?

  Report to and treat yourself in any Government or Military Hospital . Present all receipts for refund of your expenses to the Director-General through your Zonal Inspector.

  •  What happens in the event of death during the service year?

  The NYSC takes full responsibility of the burial ceremony of the Corps member. The death certificate is to be forwarded to the Director-General through the State Coordinator for the Corps Member's death benefit.

  •  Can I travel anytime I want?

  No. Any trip outside the State has to be authorized by your State Coordinator. Unauthorized journeys will be punished.
